SOLVER WORLD is my personal blog of Algorithms and Optimization.  I will be writing about news, mathematical tidbits, derivations, and other stuff related to finding the best or approximately the best answer to problems.

Who am I?  My name is Daniel Grunberg, and I have been involved in solving hard problems that involve numbers for many years.  I have developed algorithms for fraud detection, image analysis, image denoising, backscattering inverse problems, optimal file distribution and storage, optimal electroplating bath path planning, predicting IRS tax refund success rates, and a few others I have forgotten over the years.
